Why Choose Us?
Acclaim is a Registered Member of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Forum, supported by the HSE and universally accepted in public and private sector procurement. Included in Constructionline’s compliance memberships, Acclaim SSIP reduces the need for duplicate documentation, and assures clients that you’ve met stage one health and safety requirements – something mandated by a large proportion of main contractors.
Sectors we work in
Acclaim SSIP is available to any business that provides services to the public and private sectors – not just in construction, including retail, construction and facilities management. Our SSIP certification is for anyone who wishes to provide their clients with the assurance that their systems and procedures meet or exceed current health and safety standards.

SSIP is a membership or umbrella body for assessment schemes with the common aim of reducing both duplication and costs for both buyers and suppliers.
Suppliers do not join or become members of SSIP. SSIP is not an assessment scheme. It is the assessment schemes who are registered members of SSIP.
SSIP actively promotes the reduction in health and safety assessment costs and bureaucracy in the supply chain, by making cross-recognition between member schemes as effective as possible, and highlighting the savings to buyers and suppliers. All SSIP member schemes have fully committed to the vision of driving unnecessary cost and confusion out of supplier health and safety assessment, and SSIP’s core philosophy is to enable effective cross-recognition between existing schemes.
A health and safety assessment is an assessment of a company’s health and safety policies and processes carried out by an SSIP member scheme on behalf of a client. The client may be a ‘Buyer’ such as a local authority or large contractor, or a ‘supplier’ like you. Most contractors obtain SSIP certifications because they are asked to by buyers as a condition of working for them.

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 are intended to ensure that health and safety issues are properly considered during a construction project’s development so that the risk of harm to those who have to build, use and maintain structures is reduced.
The CDM regulations require Clients, Designers, Principal Designers, Principal Contractors, and Contractors to carry out specific duties and ensures that these duty holders co-operate and communicate with each other and co-ordinate their work.
